What is this? Good self esteem is the elusive trait so many desire, yet so many I have met, do not have. It is the ability to think highly of yourself and others. To persevere even if according to certain standards, you may fall short of the mark. An understanding that people are made of more than their jobs/careers, but their attitudes, motivations, interests, passions, intentions. People exude good energy or bad. Simply put people can sense if you feel good about yourself or not. If you do, your confidence will be there. You accept others for what they are and love and respect your position because you thought it over, using moral standards as a guideline. To use an example, you may disagree with family members behavior but you hold the position of loving them, but disagreeing with their actions, and moral standards. You accept them. You leave them alone and go on living your life peaceful in the knowledge that you are doing your best and that is what counts -both with people and God. Many clients learn bad behaviors, and come to therapy with bad self esteem but take heart. You can grow, heal and learn to love yourself and others, in a healthy way that feels good. Give it a try. Try therapy.

So true. Morals play a huge part in self esteem for sure, as does respect for both yourself and others!
Excellent post!
