While in AZ recently, at a local restaurant, I noticed how the Caucasian male middle aged manager approached tables to ask them if things were up to par. I noticed he went to the tables with White patrons and walked by my mom at least 5 times never once stopping to ask. She was dressed casually and has a easygoing demeanor. Some people never catch on she is actually a retired white collar professional. As we were leaving, he then walked to a table with a Mexican family and asked how things were. I thought to myself, some things change slowly or dont at all. He did not notice my close obserevation, In fact, he at one point was dancing to the music in an attempt to connect with his waiters on staff. I silently sent him light and prayed his mind would open and he would see people equally. So my final comment is I am very aware of how I am perceived depending on how I am dressed. When I am dressed in jewels and a dress shirt, I get such respect I chuckle. When I am dressed casually I get none at all, most people feel I am younger than I am due to my energy. I gently let them know I am much older and by the tone of my voice and the language I use (formal with manners) they look surprised and feel foolish. It will a take awhile for the world to realize Indigo/Crystals appear younger and act more mature despite outward appearances. I hope the old energy of prejudice and classism moves out quickly. As usual I am open to hearing your stories and comments. Has this happened recently to you. How did you handle it.
